About Milburn High School Online
Our accredited online high school program is for students attending grades 9 through 12. At Milburn High School Online, students may pursue a high school diploma or simply attend individual eLearning classes.
Milburn’s online high school provides all the support and resources students need to maximize their potential to succeed in the virtual classroom.
We understand that technology cannot---and will not---replace teachers. Every online class is taught by a certified teacher, who logs into daily to post announcements, answer questions, and offer “one-to-one” guidance when necessary.
Milburn High School offers its online high school courses year round and is open 24 hours, 7 days a week. Our teachers are certified experts in their subject matter and always available to help students.
Our Institutional Objectives:
- To offer an educational program through which students can develop academic competency in the skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening, mathematics, science, social studies and electives to include fine arts.
- To recognize and accept students as individuals and to provide them with a challenging educational enrivonment that will assist them in developing to their fullest potential.
- To provide a diverse program of instruction that will stimulate interest, foster creativity, develop aesthetic appreciation, and encourage initiative through challenging and meaningful activities.
- To encourage students to develop habits of questioning, researching, and problem-solving that will lead to critical thinking and mature judgement.
- To instill in students a thorough understanding of the democratic process as well as the desire to contribute positively as citizens to the community, the nation and the world.
- To implement web-based educational technology programs that are readily accessible for distance learning students.
- To continuously evaluate the total school program and make changes to ensure adherence to a changing society and the changing needs of students.
